I have been spending the day and week in my own little world. Shocking, I know. BUt we all do - we all have jobs and kids and responsibilities to attend to. Drama to figure out and people to see. We get wrapped up in our own world.
Well I'm sitting here tonight, thinking about all that's happening with various things in my life - having happy thoughts, pity parties, excited about what's coming up with my Mom's Group, Thankful to God for his blessings in my life for Arbonne, looking up milestones to watch for with Cyrus, planning Easter with Ash and figuring that out. I'm stressed, I'm excited, I'm tired, I'm worried, I'm happy, you get the point. Lots of emotions, lots going on.
What about Jesus? Seriously - I have not thought about how HE felt that night so many many years ago when He knew He was going to hang up on a cross the next day. WOW! And I thought I had problems/drama/craziness in my life. When he KNEW that one of His close followers were going to betray him - and I'm sad about an arguement going on in my life. When He KNEW that He was dieing for ME, a sinner - one who would be so wrapped up in my own life to forget to think about HIS sacrifice during the weekend. NOw that is a lot of emotion!!
I could not imagine! What an amazing sacrifice. What an amazing LOVE. TO have such a blameless, humble, loving man die for ME... for YOU. Yet we have a hard time forgiving one another or being nice to a stranger on the road. JESUS died for them, and for you and for me. That's amazing. We often forget that. I forget that - I get wrapped up in my life and my stuff, I forget that my petty differences with others and my stress and my pains with Thumper are NOTHING compared to what Jesus went through for me.
Granted, it doesn't make that pain go away ;-) Or the drama/stress/ect - but it does shine light on my life. It makes me thankful, grateful, touched - to the Man who gave His ALL so that I could have my "world"
